You know the kind of art I’m talking about...the perfectly nice print you bought because the color matched your sofa. Harmless. Forgettable. Beige in every way.
The Tethered Line was born out of a simple desire: to make meaningful art that is meant to do something; nudge a thought, light up a memory, spark a laugh, celebrate, and maybe even stir a little rebellion. (Psst…art and creativity can be resistance.)
That’s what I mean by art with a message. Expressive, sometimes bold, sometimes quiet...but never neutral. Each piece carries a point of view, a whisper or a shout that says: “Hey, look closer. Feel this. Remember that. Let’s talk about it.”

Yes, I take art seriously. But I don’t take myself too seriously. You’ll notice a wink here, a little cheek there. Think of The Tethered Line as that friend who can shift from a deep conversation to a slightly irreverent inside joke without missing a beat.

The Tethered Line exists because I finally gave myself permission to be all the things at once: artsy-fartsy and wordy-nerdy, creative dreamer and systems builder, soulful creator and tech strategist. This shop is where those threads meet — where design, meaning, and structure work together instead of competing. In other words, it’s me tethering all those parts of myself into one line — and inviting you to see how meaningful art and creative systems can live side by side.
Why “The Tethered Line”? A Name About Connection and Resistance
The name comes from the idea that even in a noisy, fragmented world, there are threads that connect us. Stories, images, words...they tether us to one another in surprising ways.
Here, art is the tether. A way to hold on to beauty, memory, and justice.
Why Now: The Power of Art in Today’s World
We live in a time where it’s easy to feel powerless and overwhelmed by so much that feels heavy. Connection can be an antidote. I believe that every voice matters, every gesture counts, and every spark of joy uplifts and amplifies our strengths.
Sometimes a handwritten postcard, a sticker on a water bottle, or a sign in the grass says enough: we are here, we are many, and we believe in something better.
