We the People — Art as Witness, Art as Voice.
In a time when the world feels so divided, I find myself returning to the words that once united us: We the People.
We the People is a fine-art print series by The Tethered Line, created during a pivotal election season. The series explores democracy, liberty, and collective strength through visual storytelling — reminding us that art and civic life are intertwined acts of reflection and renewal.
Introduction
We the People is not just a phrase from the past — it’s a call we inherit, repeat, and renew.
This collection grew from my belief that art can be more than beauty on a wall. It can be a witness to history, a mirror for our times, and a messenger for the future.
Each piece in We the People carries both the weight of struggle and the light of hope. Together, they form a visual reminder that freedom and participation are not static ideals — they are living, breathing commitments we make, again and again.
The Heart of the Collection
The works in We the People are inspired by marches, monuments, and enduring symbols that remind us what has been fought for — and what remains unfinished.
Art has the power to move us, to remind us, to challenge us, and in the best case - unite us. These pieces are meant not just to be seen, but to be carried with you — as postcards sent out into the world, as prints on your walls, or as a sign in your yard as daily reminders that your voice matters.
The Three Threads
- Together, We Stand — A tribute to unity and collective strength. This subcollection honors the quiet power of standing side by side — in belief, in action, and in hope.
- Liberty, For All — A reflection of the ideals that continue to light the way forward: freedom, welcome, and equality. Lady Liberty remains both beacon and witness, urging us toward our highest selves.
- Your Vote. Your Voice. — The simplest act. The greatest power. A reminder that every voice contributes to the chorus of We the People — and that silence, too, shapes our story.
Together, these threads form the heart of We the People: reminders that democracy endures only when we each choose to keep it alive.
From the Artist
As I worked in my studio over the last few months, sketching the outline of what would become 'Together, We Stand,' I realized I wasn't just creating art—I was processing my own feelings about our shared moment in history. Each element became a conversation with the past and my hopes for the future…

…my hope is that these works encourage you not only to reflect, but to participate. To let art be both witness and messenger, whether on your walls, in your hands, or sent into the world as postcards and reminders.
Because in the end, We the People is us.
