Defined: Terms for Our Time

Some words get used so often they stop being read. Others get argued over so loudly they stop being understood.

This collection exists somewhere in between.

These are familiar terms—slowed down, unpacked, and allowed to say the quiet parts out loud. No slogans. No shouting. Just language doing what it’s meant to do: clarify, connect, and occasionally make someone pause mid–coffee sip.

Designed to live in the places where real life happens—kitchens, offices, hallways, quiet corners. Because that’s where ideas actually take hold.

Thoughtful, yes. Serious when it needs to be.

And just irreverent enough to acknowledge what we’re all thinking.

Wait… did I just use my inside voice?

Because frustration, worry, and a little well-earned sarcasm are part of being human.

And sometimes, naming things plainly is the most honest thing we can do. Inside voice or not.

Note: All definitions are available as digital downloads, framed posters, mugs, tumblers, and kitchen towels.

Because these words don’t just live on walls—they show up at the sink, on your desk, in your hands, and in the middle of real life. Occasionally with coffee. Sometimes with a little side-eye.
